What Remains Left

The trailer is coming along real well the things left to be done is to finish the desktop shelf and mount some type of pipe rack to haul long pieces of mast this will either be mounted on the side of the trailer on top and an option of mounting the pipe under the trailer is being looked into. The radio's that need fixed mounting will be installed the floor on the inside painted along with the whole outside of the trailer . The roof will be painted with a alum fibered roof paint to seal any leaks remaining and to make the trailer cooler during the summer paint color for the rest of the trailer will be chosen for better heat reflective properties also.

Inside desktop installed but needs some more work

Image
The desktop has been installed and one net has been run from inside of the trailer so far!!. All the radios will be installed into enclosed wood cabinets which can be easliy removed when the trailer is not in use . In the picture you see the Radio Shack 10 meter mobile which will be installed more fixed when the top shelving is complete also pictured is a old Kenwood 2 meter mobile radio the trailer is getting real close to being completed!!

This is the old building in Kilmarnock that the WE4NC station has been using for more then 5 years as you can see its a total mess and the roof is getting ready to cave in it needed to be gotten rid of long time ago !! Im so glad to be out of this thing I don't know what to do the last time I was in it the insulation fell down on me with all the dead bugs glad to be moving to the new taller and more spacious building with so much more room!

Special QSL Card for Ingram Bay Ops

Image
Here is the qsl card I made for the special event coming up on August 19th I made it on my computer and will send this card to any stations that contact me at the event as proof of contact . Designing my qsl card is a first for me but its cheaper this way I can just print the amount cards needed as they come in.

The Work Continues

Well got all the repairs done on the inside floor of the trailer got the new tires installed now its on to installing the shelving for the radio equipment and moving outside to repair rusted out spots on the outside. Then its off to install antennas and run the feed lines into the trailer and hook up the radio equipment that will be left inside the trailer which will be 2 meter mobile and a 10 meter mobile the HF station will be put in when its needed for radio operations . I will install a motorized screwdriver antenna to the trailer and use a mag mount 2 meter antenna . After all this the trailer will be complete for this year might look into adding more stuff on next year's budget. Looking forward to using the trailer for its first ops at Ingram bay Marina in Wicomico church on August 19th . Next year with more tweaking I will probally repaint the outside of the trailer unless I get time this fall . Until next time

The outside of the trailer will require some patching im thinking of removing as much of the rust sand and prime the edges of the spots im working on and rivet alum. flashing to cover and protect these areas and when done paint the whole outside of the trailer . The inside of the trailer will require the most time I think and im hoping for some help with the inside work anyone having any old street signs or know where I can get some let me know !! The reason im showing all these pictures is to be able later to show the after pictures for comparsion.
